Farewell Andrew

Our drummer Andrew has left for the next few months to work, learn and expand his horizons. We wish him the best of luck and look forward to his safe return. In the mean time our man Matt Face from Set to Go will be filling in on drumming duties until Andrews return.

In other news we are slowly but surely working on getting our upcoming ep completed. More details on this as it unfolds.

Friday, March 25th

This Friday we are playing a benefit shot for/at the Alf house to fix plumbing issues and expand the show area. it would be nice to be able to use the bathrooms their with confidence, also it was gross when it started raining in the basement from a mystery pipe at the Citizen Grade reunion.

SHOWS!

Hello!
We're (and by we're, I mean Rasputin) playing this Sunday at Red Gate with Promises from Victoria, Jelly Boyz, Woolworm (best band!), and Out of Sight (Chad who is straightedge started a band that is straightedge and this is their first show- it's neat!). After that, Buzz Killington is off to go work on a dirty lake somewhere for a few months so his brother, Matt Face (an all around stellar guy!) will be playing drums for us and doing lots of fun things while Buzz is covered in suet and on a dirty lake. It will be awesome.

We're also recording currently. It's been a long process considering people being in school makes shit all whack, but i'm going to be doing guitars soon, Bojanglidangles has already done bass, Buzz has done drums, so it's just Cunter and I, so I guess that's pretty cool right? Then we're going to make a record because that is the coolest thing a person in a hardcore band could do right?

Does anyone every actually read this thing?

-Matt
coming soon...

Shows, past & future

The Haiti Benefit last saturday had some ups and downs. Chads words:
"On Friday, we put on a show for 100 Shows For Haiti (http://www.100showsforhaiti.com), and despite having the cops come and shut down the first venue we did the show at before the show even started, we picked shit up, moved it to a new space, and still managed to have an amazing night. In total with the door and Vegan bake sale (done by my amazing girlfriend/friends), we were able to raise $430.00, and $150.00 for the touring band (Ringleader from Edmonton http://www.myspace.com/ringleaderhc). A total success in my eyes! This city sure has it’s priorities in check when they feel they have to shut down DIY benefits for less fortunate people in third world countries, instead of dealing with the countless dying people on the streets blocks away. Regardless, we pulled it together and I couldn’t be happier. It’s an awesome feeling that while spending a Friday night running head first into your friends, eating delicious Vegan snacks, and listening to punk rock bands play..you’re also actively helping those in need."

Sadly due to the presence of police we can't do this sundays Devotion/Give show their. It's looking like it will be an early show and I will post updated venue info A.S.A.P.
